Vampires
Vampires require the blood of humans to live. A mortal can be turned if blood is shared between vampire and mortal. However this is against vampire law except in cases of true mating. Therefore all vampires are technically allowed the turning of one mortal, someone who would be their mate. Turning a mortal not ones mate is punishable by death if done without the King’s permission. Vampires have increased strength, speed, agility, and senses far greater than that of humans, the ability to shapeshift, ability to summon and control animals, and telepathy/mid control. They can create fog, mist, rain, and bring down lightening to incinerate. They also have the ability to heal with their mind. Most can perform this task on a small scale for more advanced healing one must seek the air of a vampire healer. With the coming centuries more and more vampires have turned to the darker sides of their nature and kill while feeding. Doing so brings down the wrath of the King and his Slayers. However more and more of these feral vampires are turning humans and aligning themselves with demons and vampire hunters, making it harder to find and destroy them. An attack was even made within the vampire stronghold against one of the King’s daughters who barely survived. Whispers abound of a war coming between vampires and the army the feral vampires are creating. The vampires have been forced to set aside the feud with the weres and strike an alliance to help fight the feral immortals uniting against all races. Vampires appear like mortal humans. The only notable difference is their dark colored eyes (tending towards black, violets, browns, and greens) and their lengthened incisors. It should be noted that vampires are beautiful and tend towards an emotionless like state. When a vampire has killed while feeding their eyes turn towards a blood red that is unmistakable. Their only weakness appears to be the sun which creates a great lethargy in them until at noon they are unable to stay awake. The older the vampire the longer they can stand the sunrise and the earlier they can awaken at sunset. It is rumored that the oldest nephew of the King has withstood direct sunlight early in the morning without the use of cloud cover.
